Application Information

A message from the campus:

Applicants please note the following:

1. Send all materials to: Admissions Office, Benedictine University at Springfield, 1500 N. Fifth Street, Springfield, IL 62702.

2. A personal interview with an admissions counselor is generally advisable and occasionally required.

3. Official transcripts bearing the signature of the registrar and the institutional seal must be issued by direct mail from the institution to Benedictine University at Springfield’s Admissions Office. These must arrive in a sealed envelope to be considered official.

4. You will be considered for admission as soon as all of your credentials are received.

5. You may be required to submit a personal statement prior to admissions decision.

Application for admission and $20 application fee (non-refundable)

Official transcripts from ALL colleges in which you previously enrolled

Official high school transcripts for FRESHMEN applicants only*

Official copy of ACT, SAT or TOEFL Test Scores*

Recommendation form completed by your high school counselor for FRESHMEN applicants only

Foreign credit must be evaluated by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) at www.ece.org. A form is available in the Enrollment Center.

“Subject Analysis” of transfer credit is required and prepared by this firm.

* High school transcripts and (ACT or SAT) test scores required for transfer students with less than 20 transferrable semester hours.

  • After reading the instructions, please fill out the online application as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen. Print the application agreement statement that appears after you submit your application. The nonrefundable application fee is $20 made payable to Benedictine University at Springfield.

  • Submit ACT, SAT, GED scores, if applicable, and official high school and college transcripts, if applicable.

  • You must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States to use this application. All other applicants must request the application for international students.

To complete this online application, type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be reentered prior to submittal.

Once you have completed the application, click the SUBMIT button located on the left column to submit the application.
